Certain plug-in electric vehicles from Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, Lexus, and Tesla are eligible for other BGE EVsmart incentive programs for electric vehicles.

How do I qualify for the monthly bill credit?

Charge during smart times and do not override your charging schedule to receive your $10 monthly bill credit each month you stay enrolled in the program.

An opt-out occurs when over 50% of your overall home charging on a particular day occurs outside of smart times. If you opt-out more than 4 times in a given month, you will no longer qualify for the monthly credit.

Can I enroll in the program if I live in an apartment building?

The Smart Charge Management program is not recommended for multi-unit dwellings with shared electric metering for charging.

What is evPulse?

evPulse is free for EV drivers and helps you access valuable benefits, save money, and simplify your charging experience.

evPulse was created by WeaveGrid - founded in 2018. Details on WeaveGrid and its team can be found at www.weavegrid.com.

How does the Smart Charge Management program work?

Once your EV is connected in the registration process and you've been enrolled in the Smart Charge Management program, your charging will be optimally scheduled each time you plug in at home.

evPulse identifies the lowest-cost periods you can charge in order to meet your upcoming driving needs (while considering overall grid conditions) and automatically schedules your EV to charge during those periods.

You'll receive notifications about your upcoming schedule through your preferred method (web and/or SMS texts) and can skip your proposed charge schedule if needed.

To set your charging finish time, view your target battery level, or enable Low Battery Protection, you can visit your evPulse dashboard and update your settings.

Can I sign up for other BGE EVsmart programs?

Yes! If you've qualified to enroll in the Smart Charge Management program, you can also enroll in BGE's Home Charging Incentive and the Vehicle Charging Time of Use Rate to save even more annually. Learn more
